A limerick is a short, witty poem that tells a story with a rhyme scheme of AABBA. Not all limericks are dirty. A rhyme is when two or more words end in the same sound. So, fall and ball rhyme because they both end with the sound all. A sonnet is just a short type of poetry. A haiku is another type of poetry with no rhymes and a syllable scheme of 5 7 5.
